How it Works

On Demand eSeminars
eSeminars are typically Live and Interactive Webinars that have been recorded and archived, and in some cases are presentations recorded directly for On Demand purposes.

Participants view the powerpoint and often a webcam of the speaker through their computer as well as audio streaming from their computer speakers.

Users are given a link where they register by selecting their own password and are immediately sent a link via email upon registering that includes the link to login and view the presentation.

When participants purchase an On Demand eSeminar, they are entitled to unlimited access, 24/7, for a specific amount of time (often an entire school year). Users you may view it when they choose, from any location, and as many times as they wish. Sessions can be stopped and started up again in the place where left off.

Usually a program that is 4 to 6 hours is available for credit. Users are required at various stages of each presentation to answer multiple choice questions that ensure that the participant is engaged in the presentation. At the completion of the program, the user submits a request for completion and receives verification that they have completed the program.

All that is required is a high speed internet connection, Adobe Flash player, and speakers connected to your computer.

Reading in the Content Areas
with Marilyn McGuire

Reading is a gatekeeper skill. Students who have sound reading skills that can adapt to a variety of reading materials are set up for school success. Students who struggle often do so because of poor reading skills. While teachers are typically taught how to teach reading, they are usually not taught how to teach reading skills in the all-important content areas or how to address the wide ranges of reading ability in each class-ranges that only grow as students progress through the grades. This course provides research-based, specific and immediately useful strategies that teachers can use to increase student reading ability and content area knowledge.
